"Fleshbeast is a lot of fun and Lee Matthews is certainly a filmmaker to keep an eye on"
Michael Hein , Director - NYC Horror Film Festival
Fleshbeast (AKA "Inferno Di Cannibale") is going to be one of many clips featured in the full-length documentary "The Gore-The Merrier".

At a top secret laboratory, 2 scientists become prey to a hideous, flesh-devouring monster. Fleshbeast pays homage to the Italian schlock fests of the late '70s and early 80's 'video nasties' (Zombie Flesh Eaters, The Beyond, Evil Dead, Dawn of the Dead, City of the Living Dead, Driller Killer)

NEWS
05/08/2009 - I have now submitted Fleshbeast to the Sacremento Horror Film Festival, and have a long list of worldwide festivals to now put it forward for.
01/08/2009 - Fleshbeast has now been submittedd to Celluoid Screams (Sheffield).
Apologies for the lack of updates of late, but I've been working flat out on completing Shrove Tuesday.
Just a few updates to report on Fleshbeast...
One...sigh...we didn't make it into the Edinburgh International Film Festival. However, Fleshbeast has been included in the festival's "videotechque" (an on-demand service for potential viewers to watch the film on a small screen format).
Two...Fleshbeast is now winging its way to Chicago. This is a shorter version than previous entries, and I'm hoping to get a more positive outcome from it.
Three...The main Fleshbeast "feature" will now be part of what I have labelled "The Fleshbeast Suite". This will include two other sub clips, which will compliment the main show. This will feature at the UK premiere.
Four...The premiere? Well, it will be this year...but I have no idea when. Most likely August to September.
Well...sigh...it's been a disappointing couple of weeks in Fleshbeast-land. We got the "thanks...but no-thanks" from Dead By Dawn. That's 3 now.
BUT
It was the longer cut that was submitted...and I really do think that the 32 minute "Ultimate" version is superior.
That's the version I'll now be submitting to Chicago.
Fleshbeast may also now be included in the Edinburgh Film Festival Guide.
24/03/09. Fleshbeast didn't make it into the Hull short film festival. It wasn't exactly a deal-breaker for me, but as with any rejection there is always some dejection. However, HIFF isn't a horror festival and I think Fleshbeast may have been rather "OTT" for them. Fingers crossed for Dead by Dawn.
Fleshbeast has made it through the first round of selection for Dead By Dawn UK 2009! I will now have to wait until April to find out if it qualifies at the 2nd stage, and therefore qualifies as an official entry at the festival. Everything crossed as per usual.
A leaner piece of Flesh...I have now produced a 34 minute cut of Fleshbeast. 5 minutes of cuts may not seem like a lot, but to a short film it's a huge amount of running time to remove. And I'm happy with the results. Sure, you lose some great dialogue and acting, but I think this version cuts to the chase a lot quicker. I will most likely use this edit for any future festival/competition submissions.
FLESHBEAST IS NOW ON IMDB! Click the link to visit, and please feel free to add comments. The page needs some further creation, but it's a start.
Wow! Yet even more Fleshbeast memorabilia!!! All colours...all sizes...not quite

Fleshbeast is now winging its way to Hull, for their International Short Film Festival. Everything crossed as per usual. I'll probably blitz the festival circuit this year, especially as I'll be armed with Fleshbeast And Shrove Tuesday. A lot of eggs and a lot of baskets etc etc etc...
"The Zombies that made the Beast crave Flesh". Just a short piece about why I had to make Fleshbeast
It looks as though the premiere of Fleshbeast will be tied in as a double-feature with Shrove Tuesday. This will probably happen at some point in March-April '09.
WEB EXCLUSIVE 2: Online clip #2.
Fleshbeast will soon be listed on IMDB. Because I use Withoutabox to submit the film to various competitions, I've been invited to include it on their site. This is excellent news. Not only does IMDB receive millions of visitors each day, but the Fleshbeast page will have a forum and links to the FleshFuryImageworks website. It should go online within a couple of weeks.
I have now submitted Fleshbeast to:
Time to play the waiting game again. I should get notification from both over the next couple of months.
There is now another addition to the Fleshbeast merchandise...the official Fleshbeast poster!

WEB EXCLUSIVE: The first online clip from Fleshbeast.
The "hilarious" outtake reel is now complete. 10 minutes of sheer incorrectness.
This will be included on the Fleshbeast DVD release.
There is also a possibility that I will now be releasing a Blu-Ray disc (subject to demand).
"That'll do won't do" A look behind the visual FX of Fleshbeast
This is some of the Fleshbeast merchandise I now have in my posession. If you'd like a fridge magnet or a keyring then give me an email on fleshbeast@fleshfuryimageworks.co.uk. I'll post some more stuff about the T-shirts etc over the next few weeks.

Here's a little tribute to the hard work put in by my old mucka Mark Newman (Fleshbeast/Pancake Marion). Mark had to put up with a lot in the Fleshbeast suit (severe dehydration being one thing), and is currently helping me with Shrove Tuesday...so...Thanks very much Mark!
